The Privacy Officer is responsible for developing, implementing and administering all aspects of the Bank's Privacy Compliance Program.  This position performs duties associated with consumer privacy protection rules mandated by the Gram-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) that impose certain notice requirements and restrictions on the Bank's ability to disclose nonpublic personal information about consumers to affiliates and nonaffiliated third parties, and safeguarding customer information.  Advises the Bank's Chief Compliance Officer, Senior Management and Bank personnel of emerging privacy issues and consults and guides the Bank in the establishment of controls to mitigate risks.  Assists the Chief Compliance Officer in ensuring department activities run smoothly and efficiently by providing leadership, training and supervision within the department.  The position of Privacy Officer performs direct supervisory duties of assigned department staff, coordinates staff for coverage in assigned areas of the department, and is required to be fully knowledgeable and skilled in all areas of the department.
